Industrial PoE Switches From Ethernet Direct Now Compliant With Class 1 Division 2

Taipei, Taiwan, 19 July, 2010– Ethernet Direct Corporation, a professional and primary provider of Industrial Networking and communication solutions announces a new series of Industrial Power over Ethernet switches compliant with UL Class 1 Division 2.
Two new technologies in power over Ethernet is launched by Ethernet Direct. These models are CUE-500-PDCD and CUE-500E-HPCD intended for operation in hazardous locations. The new CUE series guarantee the confidence needed during mission critical applications while providing the best value equipments to save cost expenditures. The Cobra Series CUE-500E-HPCD is an Industrial 5-port High Power Unmanaged Power over Ethernet Switch. It supports four PoE injector ports classified as power source equipment (PSE). CUE-500E-HP provides 25 watts of power per port and can be used to power IEEE802.3af and IEEE802.3at compliant powered devices (PD) by CAT5 cables and eliminates the need for additional power wiring. The operating temperature ranges from -40 to 80 deg ℃.
The Cobra Series CUE-500-PDCD is an Industrial 5-port Unmanaged Power over Ethernet Switch. It supports four PoE injector ports classified as power source equipment (PSE). CUE-500-PD provides 15.4 watts of power per port and can be used to power IEEE802.3af compliant powered devices (PD) by CAT5 cables and eliminates the need for additional power wiring. It offers 24/48VDC redundant power inputs design and is secured with power polarity reverse protection and overload protection.
Both CUE-500-PDCD AND CUE-500E-HPCD are designed with compact slim housing equipped with a relay output for an event alarm. The IP-30 housing protection, wide operating temperature and DIN-Rail mounting makes CUE switches the best choice for plug-and-play solution for your Power over Ethernet applications.
