Ethernet Direct Releases New Series of Whale Industrial IP67 M12 Industrial Ethernet Switches

Taipei, Taiwan, 30 April, 2010 – Ethernet Direct Corporation, a professional and primary provider of industrial networking and communication solutions, announces new product models of Whale series M12 IP67 Industrial Ethernet switches designed for the toughest industrial applications and comes with IP-67/68 rating.
The Whale Series are classified into two categories namely unmanaged (WUE) and managed (WME). A special version of Managed with PoE comes with power over Ethernet feature. Ethernet Direct Industrial M12 switch series come with revolutionized a new design concept to be deployed in applications that require environment protection such as outdoor locations including transportation (railways, moving vehicles, highways), mining sites, factory automation, petrochemical plants, metal industries, oil & gas, military applications, chemical processing and food and beverage industries. For transportation application demands, PoE function is embedded in the WUE and WME series. Ethernet Direct focuses on customized project designs to meet various applications.
Each whale series product is a highly reliable and designed with a robust housing protection, IP-67 water tight protection and M12 5-pole A-coded connectors. The series supports wide operating temperature from -40 to 80 deg C and wide range power input 12~48VDC.
In terms of management features, the WME managed versions provides powerful network management functions and redundant self-recovery mechanism in less than 10ms on full load which allows you to establish a redundant Ethernet network to build a backup ring topology.
